DRAFTEE Stephanie Williams and the experienced Maddy Boyd will push their claims for a return to Geelong’s AFLW team in Saturday’s VFLW clash with Williamstown.

The pair have been dropped following last week’s disappointing loss to Richmond, with Williams only gathering three possessions and Boyd five.

They’ll be among six AFLW-listed players named for the clash with the Seagulls, joining Carly Remmos, Georgia Clarke, Mia Skinner and Madisen Maguire.

2020 draftees Olivia Barber, Darcy Moloney and Laura Gardiner and developing ruck Rene Caris come out of the team that lost to Collingwood last week.

With Williams and Boyd’s omission and the season-ending knee injury suffered by Olivia Purcell, at least three of that quartet will line-up in the AFLW clash with Carlton on Sunday.

In other VFLW selection news, Sachi DeGiacomi and Emma Oliver have been included, while Aily McAuliffe will make her debut for the Cats.

Geelong Falcons duo Renee Tierney and Ava McKeegan are among the Cats’ emergencies.
