ST ALBANS and Colac have become the latest clubs to bring forward the start to their GFL season.
The Supersaints and Tigers have agreed to play their Round 6 clash at St Albans Reserve on April 10, joining St Mary’s and Leopold, who will clash that night at Anthony Costa Oval, in making an earlier beginning.
The clash will mark the unveiling of the $1m upgrade of St Albans’ changeroom facilities.
GFL and Bellarine clubs have until January 31 to lodge fixture change requests.
“AFL Barwon will continue to provide fixture updates when they are agreed to by competing clubs this month and will present full updated fixture templates for all leagues once confirmed,” the local governing body said in a statement.
“We will continue to assist and encourage clubs to engage in alternative fixture arrangements for the 2021 season.”
