NEWTOWN & Chilwell forward Darcy Troop has been offered a two-week suspension for striking South Barwon’s Matt Caldow in Saturday’s win at McDonald Reserve after originally being cleared of any wrongdoing.

In the Match Review Panel statement released on Monday afternoon by AFL Barwon, it said the MRP was asked by the Swans to review the vision of alleged rough conduct by Troop on Caldow, however, there was nothing captured in the footage of the match.

AFL BARWON: LION, DEMON AND ROO ACCEPT BANS

On Tuesday morning, AFL Barwon said the Match Review Panel had reassessed the vision and cited Troop for intentionally striking.

Troop, who has kicked 15 goals from six matches in 2019, would miss matches against Geelong West and Grovedale if he accepts the offer.

He has until 10am Wednesday to make a decision whether to take the case to the AFL Barwon Tribunal.
