REIGNING BFL premier Barwon Heads has further strengthened its talented list with the return of Cam O’Leary and Andy Walsgott to the club.

O’Leary, who co-captained the Seagulls in 2018 and won the club’s best-and-fairest in 2017, spent this year working in the United Kingdom.

Walsgott, who has been in the UK for the last two years, returns having not played since 2017 after returning from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament the previous season.

Barwon Heads has also added former St Mary’s junior Tom O’Callaghan.

The 193cm key forward has battled injury for the last two seasons but has had GFL senior experience at the Saints.

In his two matches in 2017 O’Callaghan kicked six goals, including four on debut against Lara.

The Seagulls, who snapped a 26-year premiership drought in beating Torquay on September 14, have locked away practice matches against GFL duo South Barwon and Colac and Western Region club Spotswood.

They will start their flag defence with a trip to Portarlington for clash with the Demons, who will be coached by former Barwon Heads mentor Peter O’Connor.
