PORTARLINGTON star Brock Williamson has arrived in Darwin and is serving a 14-day quarantine ahead of joining NTFL club Waratah for the 2020-21 season.

Williamson is a couple of days into his fortnight stint at Howard Springs alongside former Demon and Torquay forward John Simson, who has most recently been playing with Old Geelong in the VAFA.

The BFL interleague rep said Leopold premiership player Alex Moloney helped land him in the Top End.

“He’s good friends with the footy manager at Waratah, so he got onto John and me and got us up here,” Williamson said.

“So we’re up here for the season. It should be good fun.”

Williamson, who suffered a hairline fracture to his fibula early in March, has returned to full fitness and is looking forward to playing for the first time since late 2019.

“It’s obviously different footy up here – completely different to BFL,” he said.

“It’s going to be hot and quick, but I’m excited and can’t wait to crack in.”

Also headed to the NT are St Albans duo Lachie and Will Wallace.

The brothers, who were set to play with the Supersaints before the 2020 season was cancelled, will play with Nightcliff.
