GEELONG coach Chris Scott says is “open-minded” on whether Jack Steven will be available for selection in Round 2.

The former St Kilda midfielder returned to the club this week after being stabbed in an incident in Melbourne earlier this month.

Vision showed Steven walking laps of GMHBA Stadium, with a return to full training still to be confirmed.

“What we do know that he was going along well – pretty fit – before the incident, and the incident means he will miss a little bit, but not a whole lot,” Scott told K rock Football.

“He will be in training pretty soon, and the medical staff will make their assessments from there.

“Round 2, off the top of my head, seems a little bit tight, but we’re open-minded.”

Geelong resumes its 2020 season with a clash against Hawthorn at GMHBA Stadium on June 12
