GEELONG has failed in its bid to secure pick 19 from Fremantle for Jordan Clark.

However, the Cats have parted company with the wantaway 20-year-old (he turns 21 on Saturday), along with a future fourth-round pick.

In return, Geelong gets pick 22 and a future third-round selection, tied to Carlton, from the Dockers.

CATS: FORT HEADS NORTH, CEGLAR ARRIVES

Clark joined the Cats with pick 15 in the 2018 National Draft from WAFL club Claremont.

He made his debut in the opening round of the 2019 season and went on to play 18 games in an impressive debut season before an elbow injury suffered at training all but ended his season.

Clark made just three appearances in the COVID-shortened 2020 season and featured in 11 games this year, of which three were as the unused medical substitute.
