Cats cut Buzza

THE addition of Josh Jenkins to Geelong’s list in the final moments of the AFL Trade period has worked against Wylie Buzza.

The Cats have delisted the 23-year-old forward following nine games in four seasons.

Buzza, who finished runner-up in Geelong’s VFL best-and-fairest, was drafted with pick No.69 in the 2015 National Draft.

“Wylie’s character and personality have seen him become a popular figure amongst his teammates, coaches and club staff over his four years here,” Cats football boss Simon Lloyd said.

“We thank Wylie for his contribution to the club, everyone at Geelong wishes him the best for the future.”

Buzza’s delisting leaves the Cats needing to make calls on the futures of veteran defender Lachie Henderson and Category B rookie Blake Schlensog.
