FORMER Geelong forward Darcy Lang will get the chance to wear the Hoops again after signing with the club’s state league team for the 2021 season.

Lang, who played 44 games for the Cats between 2014-17, put pen to paper on Wednesday night.

The 25-year-old spent the last three seasons at Carlton, playing 20 games for the Blues.

He becomes the second ex-Cat to sign-on at GMHBA Stadium for the yet-to-be-named merged VFL-NEAFL competition.

Ruckman Ryan Abbott will also get the chance to wear blue and white again after pulling the pin on his AFL season following a season at St Kilda.

Abbott will also play at Grovedale. However, a decision on which local club Lang will align with is yet to be made.

Colac, where Lang was drafted from in 2013, is looking like the favourite.
