OCEAN Grove’s big guns have again fired in a 48-point win over Drysdale at Mortimer Oval.

Jake Carmody kicked seven goals and Brent Macleod six as the Grubbers made it consecutive wins for the Grubbers, who now face arch-rival Barwon Heads in the Battle of the Bridge at Ray Menzies Oval on Saturday.

Despite losing captain Daniel Jull to concussion during the first quarter, the Hawks were within 13 points at half time.

However, Ocean Grove put the foot to the floor in the third term, slamming on 8.5 to 3.2 to jump 46 points clear.

As well as Carmody and Macleod, Corey Walter was also impressive, as was big man Andrew Javis.

Josh Rushton returned to form with five goals for Drysdale, while Jake Kiddle kicked.

Mitch O’Dowd and Kyle Davis battled hard for the Hawks, who now face an in-form Geelong Amateur.
