Queenscliff (7th) vs. Geelong Amateur (3rd)

Queens Park

Saturday, July 21, 2:10pm

GEELONG Amateur starts a run of seven consecutive home games to end the 2017 home-and-away season when it meets Queenscliff at Queens Park. The three-time reigning premier has been forced away from its traditional home due to upgrade works on their change rooms. Having won 14 consecutive games at home, Ammos is well-placed for a fifth consecutive double-chance finish. Should have no issues with an inconsistent Queenscliff, however co-coaches Rowan McSparron and Jarrod Young will be ensuring their players are focused on the Coutas and not the following week’s blockbuster standalone clash with Torquay. Hamish Dahl, Brenton Adams, Jarrod Westwood, Tim Clark, Hugh Hunter and Ben Bucovaz will all return after missing the big win over Newcomb. However, Cam Young is among those going out the team after copping an accident knock to the the throat which left him hospitalised for two nights. Cam Habgood and co-coach Jono Casey are back for Queenscliff, but fellow co-coach Andrew Hodgson and Rory Fairbairn will be missing.

Last time they met: Round 4, 2017: Geelong Amateur 16.8 (104) def. Queenscliff 13.11 (89) @ Queenscliff Recreation Reserve

Prediction: Geelong Amateur by 46 points
