BARWON Heads has pulled away from Queenscliff after half time to remain unbeaten after Round 5.

The Seagulls led by just five points at the main break, but kicked 10.8 to 5.5 from that point on, including six goals in the final term, to run out 38 point victors.

Luke Buckland finished with three goals for Barwon Heads, while Dylan Holland, Braeden Eddy, and Luke and Brad Michell each kicked two.

The Seagulls’ best included Cam O’Leary, Tyson Macilwain and Ned Aulsebrook.

Jason Graham was the lone multiple goal kicker for the Coutas with two. Captain Jake Hedley and recruit Regan Grimwood tried hard for Queenscliff, which now faces a crucial clash with Anglesea.

Barwon Heads will prepare for another edition of the Battle of the Bridge, crossing the river to take on Ocean Grove.
