GEELONG Falcons have unveiled a 91-strong training squad ahead of next month’s start of NAB League pre-season.

Among the players invited are nine that will turn 19 during 2020.

They include small forward Jay Dahlhaus, who missed the majority of 2019 with a knee injury, and Bell Park talent Jack Sarcevic.

The son of former Geelong forward Ray, Sarcevic is on the radar of at least one AFL club after undergoing a private screening with Fremantle.

Darcy Chirgwin and Jeremy Goddard have also been invited to Highton Reserve having played NAB League previously with Sandringham Dragons while attending

Goddard is the brother of former Falcon and current Carlton defender Hugh.

Other brothers of current AFL-listed players in the squad include Charlie Ham (Brayden – Essendon), Oliver Henry (Jack – Geelong), Henry Walsh (Sam – Carlton), Sam Witherden (Alex – Brisbane), and Indi Parish (Darcy – Essendon).

Among the sons of former AFL players on the list are Will Kilpatrick (Glenn – Essendon/Geelong) and Tom Schulze (Mick – Geelong).

Glenn played 26 games for the Bombers and 120 for the Cats, making Will father-son eligible at Kardinia Park.

However, with Mick playing 91 games, Geelong won’t have the first crack at Tom if they believed him good enough.

The Falcons, who missed the finals for the first time in 18 years in 2019, commence training on November 18.
