THE TALKING POINT

GDFL runner-up Inverleigh dropping co-captain Justin DiBlasio wasn’t the only big selection surprise in local football. After playing 35 of a possible 40 games in his two seasons with St Joseph’s, big man Lech Featherstone was left out by coach Heath Jamieson. He is unlikely to earn a recall for the decider.

BIG WINNER

Luke Webb has made the most of his recall to the St Joseph’s senior team following the hamstring injury suffered by former captain Kieran Paliouras. After an indifferent 2018 season which saw the Tasmanian spend some time in the reserves, including the first week of the finals, Webb has been among Joeys’ best in the wins over Colac and Leopold.

THE KEY NUMBER

ON POINT

Leopold: 40/40
St Joseph’s: 34/40
