Season over for Supersaint

ST ALBANS will be without Andy Higgins for the final two home-and-away games after he accepted a two-week suspension for rough conduct following an incident in Saturday’s loss to Newtown & Chilwell at The Gordon TAFE Oval.

Higgins was reported during the final quarter of the clash with the Eagles after making contact with Connor Joseph.

It’s the second year in-a-row the former Ocean Grove star has copped a two-week suspension late in the season.

He was banned for rounds 16 and 17 in 2018 after being reported for abusive language towards an umpire in a win over Lara.

The AFL Barwon Match Review Panel looked at vision of three other incidents from the weekend but laid no charges.

South Barwon’s Simon Fragiotta, Winchelsea’s Josh Carracher and Bell Post Hill’s Beau McNamara were all found to have no case to answer.
