GLENN Keast is set to become the longest-serving coach in GFL history after re-signing with Travis Robertson as co-coaches for season 2020.

The Saints have confirmed to krockfootball.com.au that the former North Shore premiership teammates will enter a third season in charge at Anthony Costa Oval.

Keast, who is second only to the recently deceased Kevin Higgins for the most games coached at the one club in the GFL after guiding the Seagulls on 157 occasions, currently sits third on the games coached list behind Terry Bright (208) and Terry Emond (193), with his 32 matches in the role at St Mary’s taking him to 189 in total.

“We’re excited to have ‘Keasty’ and ‘Robbo’ on-board for 2020,” Saints football boss Scott Hosking said.

“We’re really happy with the work they are doing with our list.”

After being appointed in October 2017 as the replacements for Troy Mitchell, Keast and Robertson took St Mary’s to a third consecutive grand final before falling short of St Joseph’s by nine points.

Following the departure of key forwards Sam Dobson, Tom Gillies and Aiden Grace, the Saints made a slow start to this season, losing four of their five games before the interleague break.

However, they remain in the finals hunt following five consecutive wins before a five-point loss to Bell Park before last week’s mid-season break.
