OUT-of-contract Colac coach Kane Leersen has started talks with the Tigers about his role for 2019.

However, it may not necessarily see the versatile star in charge at Central Reserve for a third season.

“We’ve started the discussion, just like probably every other club in the area, so we’re just working towards the best fit for the club and everyone involved,” Leersen told K rock’s The Wash Up.

“We don’t know what the end result will be yet, but everything is on the table. It’s an ongoing discussion and hopefully we can get something sorted in the next few weeks.

“I think it’s important for the club that they know what decision I want to take and vice versa, because if you don’t go on and you leave it too late, everyone feels like they’re behind the eight-ball.

So it’s good to have early, ongoing discussions and we know each other pretty well, it’s pretty healthy, and we’ll see what works out.”
