NEWTOWN & Chilwell will be without spearhead Lachie Bond for meetings with Grovedale and Lara after he accepted a two-week ban for striking.

The AFL Barwon Match Review Panel charged the Geelong VFL listed forward with striking South Barwon’s Todd White in the second quarter of the Eagles’ win at Elderslie Reserve on Saturday.

White, who arrived at McDonald Reserve this year, failed to play out the match due to the incident.

Thomson forward Daniel Freeman will also miss two games after accepting a ban for rough conduct over an incident in the narrow loss to Inverleigh at Morton Power Oval.

Freeman kicked six goals against the Hawks and was cited for a sling tackle that left Inverleigh gun Lachie Buyel concussed.

The star will miss games against North Geelong and Corio before being free to return for the post-Queen’s Birthday break match-up with Werribee Centrals.

And Bannockburn veteran Brett Harding has accepted a one-week suspension for carelessly striking North Geelong’s Dylan Fisher.

He’ll miss Saturday’s trip to Galvin Park.
