BELMONT Lions will be without recruit Blake Podnar for games either side of the interleague break after he accepted a two-week suspension for charging Werribee Centrals gun Jackson Smith in Saturday’s loss at Winter Reserve.

A premiership player with North Geelong in 2013, Podnar was reported during the third quarter. He will miss clashes with former club Bell Post Hill and East Geelong either side of the interleague break.

Meanwhile, Corio reserves player Tyler Banks has accepted a four-week suspension for behaving in a threatening manner towards an umpire during the third quarter of the Devils match against Anakie at VIVA Energy Oval.

And Geelong West newcomer Hunter Lloyd has chosen not to challenge his two-week suspension for rough conduct on South Barwon’s Trent Richards.

He will miss matches against Grovedale and Colac.
