PREMIERSHIP captain Sam Jacka and experienced forward Jarrod Westwood have been appointed co-coaches of Thomson.

The pair was confirmed on Friday night as the replacement for Whitley medallist Reece Holwell.

Holwell spent five years in charge at Godfrey Street, the first four – including the 2018 premiership with Brent Taylor as co-coach.

A Thomson junior, Jacka has played more than 150 senior games since debuting.

Westwood is a multiple premiership player at South Barwon and Geelong Amateur.

After a year away from footy, he returned this year for his first season at Thomson to kick 29 goals from 17 games.
