MATCH OF THE ROUND

Werribee Centrals and Bell Post Hill are both chasing their first win of 2019 when they meet at Galvin Park. The Centurions were well beaten by reigning premier Thomson in Round 2, but coach Nick Smith took more positives from that clash than the narrow defeat at the hands of North Geelong to open the season. The Panthers were on the end of a hammering from Winchelsea in Round 1 but were unlucky not to grab the four points from Bannockburn before Easter.

CRUCIAL DAY FOR

Anakie. The Roos are still rueing not rolling Inverleigh in front of a big crowd in Round 2. Can they cause an upset of a Geelong West team that is hard to get a gauge on after losing to the Hawks and hammering Corio in the opening two rounds?

THE NUMBER

15. The number of consecutive wins posted by Bell Post Hill over Werribee Centrals. The Centurions’ last win over the Panthers came in Round 4, 2010, with Craig Rosenzweig and Anthony Kitchen kicked six goals apiece. 2010 was also the same year Bell Post Hill beat Centrals to win its first of seven premierships in eight years.
