SEVEN months after Thomson let slip the chance to claim consecutive GDFL premierships Sam Jacka has brought himself around to watching the replay.

Jacka, who captained the Tigers on the day and is now co-coach of the club, revealed he watched the second half of the loss to Bannockburn during a Zoom interview with krockfootball.com.au.

“Sitting at home over the last three or four weeks not doing much and thinking about footy, it came back to the forefront of my mind,” he said.

“I made myself sit down and watch the second half, which I didn’t think I’d ever be able to do.

“It (the loss) still stings, and I know that something’s I’m going to deal when I’m 40, 50, 60-years-old.

“It’s probably going to be the opportunity that got away, but (I’m) still really grateful that we got that 2018 one when we probably shouldn’t have.”
