Missing money charges laid

CRIMINAL charges have been laid following an investigation into missing money at GDFL club North Geelong.

A 53-year-old Norlane man is facing twenty-two counts of theft after being interviewed by Geelong detectives on Monday.

Police confirmed to krockfootball.com.au on February 24 they had been asked by the Magpies to investigate the disappearance of a sum of money.

The man has been bailed to appear in Geelong Magistrates Court on June 10.

North Geelong will hold an extraordinary general meeting on Wednesday night where the impact of the alleged theft is expected to be on the agenda.
