Jacka report thrown out

SAM Jacka has avoided a trip to the AFL Barwon Tribunal after his match-day report for charging was withdrawn.

The Thomson captain was offered a two-week suspension for charging Werribee Centrals’ Blake Taylor during the second quarter of the Tigers’ loss to the Centurions at Galvin Park on Saturday.

Jacka, who received a yellow card for the alleged incident, indicated he would challenge the ban at the tribunal before it was decided not to proceed with the case.

However, Anglesea’s Tom Clark will miss crucial clashes against Torquay and Geelong Amateur after accepting the Match Review Panel’s offer of a two-week suspension for careless front-on contact with Queenscliff veteran Tom Limb in the second quarter of Saturday’s match at Queenscliff.

That leaves Limb as the only senior hearing tonight.

He was referred straight to the tribunal after being reported for an alleged incident against Roo James Donaldson of which there is no footage.
