STAR Newtown & Chilwell Paul Hinkley is facing a fortnight on the sidelines after being cited by the AFL Barwon Match Review Panel for striking Lara’s Sam Purdy during Saturday’s clash at Elderslie Reserve.

The MRP has offered Hinkley, who has returned to the Eagles after two years away, a two-week set penalty.

He has until 10am Tuesday to decide whether to challenge or accept the ban.

Meanwhile, Drysdale and Ocean Grove have both been handed suspended penalties for their involvement in a melee during Saturday’s clash at Mortimer Oval.

The MRP also viewed the vision of an alleged incident from the Geelong West-Corio GDFL clash at West Oval but deemed the vision inconclusive.
