To Uluru and back for Ryan

DRYSDALE has run to Uluru and back for Ryan Gatgens, and at the same time raising a decent sum of money for a local grief support service.

Current and former Hawks footballers and netballers, supporters and even local umpires covered 4886kms between 5 am and 5 pm on Saturday, raising $6797 for Geelong-based Hope Bereavement.

“What an absolutely amazing day it’s been for the Drysdale Hawks footy club, netballers, juniors, past players and supporters,” president David Walder said on Facebook.

“Our aim was to get to Uluru, which is 2300k. Darwin is 3745kms, so I think we’ve just about finished up in Bali.”

Donations can be made until 5 pm Monday via this link
