DRYSDALE will be without veteran star Mitch Scott for this Saturday’s must-win clash against Geelong Amateur after accepting a one-week suspension for striking in the weekend loss to Newcomb.

The two-time premiership player was reported for carelessly striking the Power’s Jake Reid during the thirds quarter of the clash at Mortimer Oval.

Newcomb’s Will Broad has also taken the one-week suspension offered for carelessly striking Hawk Mat Hebbard during the second quarter of the Power’s eight-point win.

It was better news for Drysdale midfielder Josh Eddy.

He was cleared of any wrongdoing by the AFL Barwon Match Review Panel for an alleged sling tackle on Broad in the last quarter.

Ocean Grove’s Luke Cartelli is also in the clear after the match footage didn’t capture an alleged incident involving Portarlington’s Travis Morgan in the clash at Ray Menzies Oval.

Meanwhile, no charges were laid after the MRP looked at footage of a melee at the start of the fourth quarter of the clash between Corio and Bannockburn at VIVA Energy Oval.
