At Selection – Round 21

QUINTON Narkle will play his first AFL game in almost 12 months after being among four inclusions for Geelong’s crucial clash with North Melbourne at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday night.

Narkle played the last of his six AFL games in last year’s Round 21 clash with Hawthorn at the MCG.

“Narks’ last month has been pretty consistent,” Geelong VFL coach Shane O’Bree told krockfootball.com.au.

“He’s playing to his strengths around the stoppages and his contest work has been pretty impressive.

“We’re hoping on Saturday night he takes his opportunity to show us what he’s got on the big stage.”

Also named is Brandan Parfitt for his first game since the Round 17 win over St Kilda after battling a back issue, while Harry Taylor and Luke Dahlhaus are back after being managed out of the loss to Fremantle last week.

Jordan Clark, who suffered an elbow injury at training on Wednesday, and Gary Rohan (knee) will both be missing, while Scott Selwood and Lachie Henderson have been dropped.

Selwood and Henderson are emergencies along with James Parsons and Charlie Constable.

North Melbourne has included Jed Anderson and Shaun Atley, with Luke Davies-Uniacke (injured) and Sam Durdin going out of the team that defeated Hawthorn by 22 points.

K rock is live from 5:15pm on FM 95.5 across Geelong and the Surf Coast, and via AFL.com.au or the AFL app.
