A WEEK after having his AFL career ended by his delisting by Geelong, Scott Selwood has landed on his feet with a role at Collingwood.

The midfielder, who clocked up 169 games in 12 seasons across West Coast and the Cats, will take on a development coaching position with the Pies.

“Scott has a reputation for being a great clubman and someone who is dedicated to helping develop those around him,” Collingwood football boss Geoff Walsh said.

“As an academy coach, Scott will be able to focus his energy on helping our emerging talent grow as footballers and as people.”

Selwood will work closely with Geelong great Garry Hocking who will coach the Magpies’ VFL team in 2020.

He replaces another former Cat, Jared Rivers, in the role.
