AN impressive performance in a losing effort has earned Geelong midfielder Becky Webster one of the AFLW’s Rising Star nominations for Round 4.

Webster gathered 24 possessions in the loss to St Kilda at Moorabbin on Friday night.

She also took eight marks and laid three tackles.

Webster, who the Cats took with pick no.7 in the 2018 AFLW Draft, started her football journey in Benalla before coming to notice with the Murray Bushrangers at TAC Cup (NAB League) level.

She won the Cats VFLW best-and-fairest in 2019 and was named in the VFLW Team of the Year.

Webster is only the third Geelong player to receive a nomination and the first since Olivia Purcell in Round 5, 2019.
