GARY Rohan will remain with Geelong until at least the end of 2021 after signing a one-year contract extension.

The 28-year-old was contracted to the Cats until the end of next year after signing a two-year deal after following his move from Sydney.

He kicked 25 goals from 19 games, however, 20 of those came in his first nine matches in the Hoops.

Rohan played in the qualifying final loss to Collingwood but missed the win over West Coast in the semi-final and defeat by Richmond in the preliminary final due to a knee injury.

“Gary was able to enjoy a strong start to his career in Geelong colours at the beginning of the season. He made a smooth transition into our team and was an energetic addition to the group both on and off the field,” football boss Simon Lloyd said.

“Since arriving 12 months ago, Gary, his wife Amie and daughter Bella have been a welcome addition to the club, as a family, they have embraced everything about the community of Geelong.

“We are pleased to have secured Gary’s services for a further two years and look forward to what he can bring to the team.”

Rohan was among more than 20 players that are out-of-contract at the end of 2020.
