LUCKLESS Geelong small forward Linc McCarthy should be back playing football within a month after shrugging off niggling quad issues.

McCarthy, who hasn’t played at any level since Round 3 last year, and just 27 games since being drafted in 2011, underwent both groin and hip surgery in 2017.

CATS: HOUSE IMPRESSES IN VFL

“I’m back main training now, so doing everything full, which has been really nice,” he told krockfootball.com.au.

“I’m feeling really good, so probably now we just need to get a bit of time training with the boys and really pushing the limits before I’m able to play.

“There’s a bye in the VFL in three weeks and I want to play in two weeks, but I might have wait four.”
