GEELONG looks set to be without Darcy Fort in the short-term after scans revealed bone stress in his foot.

And small forward Luke Dahlhaus is looking at an extended stint on the sidelines with a foot concern of his own.

Fort had strung together four consecutive matches to take his career tally to eight after joining the club in the 2018 National Draft.

“Darcy reported some foot soreness late last week, and unfortunately for him, it has confirmed bone stress in his foot,” Cats’ football boss Simon Lloyd said.

“We will continue to closely assess Darcy, and hope he can return to train and play within a few weeks dependent on his progress.”

CATS: CLOSE READY TO GO

Scans have shown up bone stress in the heel of former Western Bulldog Dahlhaus.

“Luke’s heel injury is uncommon in AFL players. With that in mind, we are assessing how he responds in the short term,” Lloyd said.

“We hope to see Luke return in approximately a month’s time.”
