GEELONG has suffered a double blow with Aasta O’Connor and Maddie Boyd both offered suspensions by the Match Review Officer.

O’Connor, who missed the trip to Adelaide last week due to injury, has been offered two weeks for striking Blue Nicola Stevens during the opening term of the Cats’ five-point win over the Blues at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday.

Match Review Officer Michael Christian assessed the incident as intentional conduct with medium impact to the head.

Boyd has been offered a one-week ban after being reported in the final quarter for rough conduct on Jess Hosking.

Christian assessed the incident as careless conduct with medium impact to the head.

CATS WOMEN: McMAHON MAKES MOST OF CHANCE

If O’Connor accepts the offer, she will miss matches against Brisbane and Fremantle, while Boyd would be ruled out of the clash with this week’s clash with the Lions if she chooses not to challenge.

In all, seven charges were laid across Round 4.

Carlton’s Sarah Hosking can accept a $400 fine for making forceful front-on contact with Geelong’s Jordan Ivey.

Brisbane’s Jordan Zanchetta, Adelaide’s Dayna Cox, Collingwood’s Sharni Layton and Melbourne’s Tegan Cunningham have all escaped with reprimands.
