GEELONG has given up the fourth-round pick (No.61) obtained in the deal that sent Linc McCarthy to Brisbane in a trade for Sydney speedster Gary Rohan.

Originally from Cobden, the former Geelong Falcon joins the Cats following 106 games in nine injury-interrupted seasons with the Swans after being taken with the sixth pick in the 2009 National Draft.

Rohan requested a return to Victoria to be closer to his family following the death of his twin daughter Willow just hours following her birth from anencephaly.

He has signed a two-year deal with Geelong.

“We welcome Gary and his family to our club and are excited to have been able to secure his services,” list boss Stephen Wells said.

The 27-year-old is the third addition to the Cats list in the past week, joining fellow former Falcon Luke Dahlhaus and South Australian young gun Nathan Krueger.

As part of the deal, the Swans have used the pick gained from the Cats to trade for North Melbourne youngster Ryan Clarke.
