GEELONG captain Joel Selwood says the club is hoping to receive clearance from authorities in South Australia to fly into Adelaide on Thursday ahead of Friday night’s qualifying final against Port Adelaide.

When the Cats last played in the City of Churches, against the Power in Round 13, they flew on the day of the game and spent several hours isolated in the indoor cricket nets at Adelaide Oval before coming away with a 21-point win.

“It was a huge effort because we sat in these cricket rooms (with) no fresh air, and we slept under tables, Selwood told K rock’s Fresh Daily.

“But, what we do know is there will probably be an isolation period where training’s probably the only place we’re allowed to go.

“There and home and not mix with anyone.”
