IN the same week it’s honoured four club greats with induction in its Hall of Fame, Geelong will give a further nod to its history on Saturday.

The Cats’ jumper for the clash with North Melbourne will reflect the knitted wool style that dominated until the 1990s and features the Crouching Cat logo that was in place between 1983-99.

The jumper will also have a collar, which was last seen in the early 1990s.

And the number will be on a patch similar to that which adorned the back of Geelong’s jumpers from the introduction of numbers in the 1910s through to the 1960s.

The Retro jumper is available for sale at The Cats Shop.

Pre-game activities will include the giveaways of 2500 packs of retro-look football cards featuring current-day Geelong players from 5:30pm.

Past players will take part in a goalkicking and torpedo competition on-field before the game, while the goal umpires will appear in retro gear.

Gates open at 3:30pm ahead of the VFL clash between the Cats and Roos.
