GEELONG fans won’t have to wait as long to find out the newest addition to the club’s list on AFL Draft night.

The Cats have executed a pick swap with Gold Coast that will see it take selection no.27 (second-round) off the Suns in exchange for next year’s third-round pick that is tied to Melbourne.

Ironically, Geelong and Gold Coast swapped picks on draft night last year that netted the Suns’ selection no.27, which they used on Jeremy Sharp.

The Cats received Gold Coast’s mid-first-round priority selection, which they used to land former GWS Giants spearhead Jeremy Cameron in this year’s trade period.

The National Draft will be held next Wednesday night, with the Rookie and Pre-season drafts the following day.
