GEELONG will be afforded a nine-day break between matches, with the Cats headed to Adelaide in Round 13 to take on the winless Crows.

The clash at the Adelaide Oval will be a 1:05pm (AEST) bounce on Sunday, August 23.

The Cats who had an 11-day break between playing Collingwood in Round 8 and Fremantle in Round 9, then had only five days to prepare for the Round 10 meeting with West Coast and four days before beating North Melbourne last night.

Geelong is now on a five-day break before playing St Kilda on Monday night at the Gabba.

The Cats then take on Port Adelaide at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast in a Friday night clash four days later.

With Adelaide confirmed as an opponent, Geelong still has to play Essendon, Richmond, Sydney and the Western Bulldogs in the final four rounds.
