THE AFL has cleared Jack Steven of any wrongdoing over the stabbing incident which had led to the Geelong midfielder being hospitalised.

In a statement on Monday, the AFL integrity department said it was satisfied with Steven’s explanation of the events surrounding last month’s incident and determined there was no breach of league rules.

The former St Kilda midfielder is eligible to play his first match for Geelong on Friday night when the Cats restart their 2020 season against Hawthorn.
