Another Rising Star for Blues

JACK Silvagni has become Carlton’s fourth Rising Star nomination of 2017 after playing a key role in Saturday night’s win over Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.

Playing the 19th game of his career, Silvagni kicked two goals from 13 possessions.

He joins Caleb Marchbank (Round 6), Sam Petrevski-Seton (Round 7) and David Cunningham (Round 12) as contenders for the Ron Evans Medal.

Part of Carlton royalty – Silvagni’s father, AFL Team of the Century full back, Stephen and grandfather Sergio are both premiership players and members of the club’s Team of the Century, he was drafted with pick No.53 in the 2015 National Draft as a father-son selection.

The youngest Silvagni made his debut against arch-rival Collingwood in Round 15 last year.
